The 57th Melbourne International Film Festival or 'MIFF' to it's friends, returns 22nd of July to the 8th of August in 2010. Australia's pre-eminent and much loved Film Festival, MIFF is an iconic event on Melbourne's cultural calendar.
MIFF hosts a feast of cinematic delicacies from over 50 countries for some 17 days each winter, heavily garnished with a range of parties and special events that envelop the CBD. In addition to screening the very best in world cinema, MIFF is Australia’s largest showcase of new Australian cinema and most vocal champion of both emerging and established local film making talent.
From it’s earliest days MIFF has provided audiences with a unique window on the world and has acted as the leading intellectual and artistic catalyst in Australia’s screen cultural landscape. And 2008 will be no exception! The Festival screens across 5 CBD locations: Forum Theatre, ACMI, Greater Union Russell Street, RMIT Capitol Theatre and the Kino Dendy (TBC).
Films are screened at CBD venues, including ACMI (Federation Square), Forum Theatre (Flinders Street), RMIT Capitol Theatre (Swanston Street), The Regent Theatre (Collins Street) and Greater Union (Russell Street). Quest Hero is an easy walk to any of these venues and offers a range of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
